OK guys, I need some help.......

Today my cousin met up with some guy that owns an Evo VIII. This guy in this Evo VIII came speeding by the Baskin Robbins that his girl friend works at. So what does my cousin do???????? He calls him over. And what does he do, He tells him his car is slow and that he has a cousin (Me) that has a Eclipse GSX that will own his ass. The guy and his passenger laugh it off and begin to talk massive shit on my car, and saying about how he would smoke ANY GSX! So my cousin calls me on the phone.

ME: Whats up Brandon
Brandon: Hey Red(it's what he calls me), There's this Evo up here that thinks he's fast.
ME: Ok.........
Brandon: And he's talking mad shit on your car man. He's saying that he'll smoke the shit of you!
ME: (thinking to myself, what the hell? how did I get into any of this?) Oh He does, whats he running?
Brandon: I dont know, he won't pop his hood. But he says he's stock with 30psi behind him.
ME: WHAT THE FUCK! He's running 30psi on the stock turbo and fuel setup. AND ON THE STOCK AIR FLOW SYSTEM??
Brandon: He still has the stock Front Mount, but he's not popping his hood.
Me: Ok, ask him what turbo setup he's running.

I hear Brandon and the guy talking in the background. The guy sounds like a Idiot.

Brandon: He says he's running a Turbonetics Stage 3 turbo.
ME: WTF? What size turbo is he running
Brandon: (asks the guy) He said Stage 3.
ME: I hate when people dont know what turbo there running, ok well what else can you see in the car? Look in the car, do you see a boost controller?
Brandon: Nope don't see a boost controller,
Guy with Evo: I dont run the mechanical boost controllers, they're not accurate.
ME: Ok so he's on a manual boost controller under his hood....
Brandon: Oh yeah, and he has a modified exhaust.
Guy with Evo: Tell him that it runs 11.2's
ME: I heard him brandon...... hmmmm. well I took my car into the body shop to get that scratch they made fixed. I get it back tomarrow so I can't come down today.
Brandon: Oh I see, (talks to the guys) Well they said they can come back up here tomarrow to meet you and race.
ME: Hmmmmm ok, We'll see tomarrow, I'll talk to you tomarrow
Brandon: Ok, They pulled out cash man, I think they wanna run for money.
ME: Oh they do huh? Well if so, I'm gonna have to look under there hood before I run for money.
Brandon: Ok, But I saw him pushing it, and it didn't see to move that fast, About as fast as that one EVO you killed on Baker street.
ME: Damn, really? I killed his ass and I only had exhaust and a downpipe (he couldn't launch.... never was able to catch up)
Brandon: Yeah man, it didn't even seem fast at all.

Ok so now my cousin has set me up with a race..... like he ALWAYS DOES!

First thing I did after I talked to Brandon, was got on the internet to find some information on the "Stage 3" turbonetics turbo......... Searched and searched...... no information found.

Well I need you guy's help before I go race this guy. Do you think this is possible?
What the hell is this STAGE 3 TURBO? and is 30psi possible on it?
And what about on stock fuel, airflow, and ecu.
And remember we're in california, is this possible on puny 91 octane gasoline?
And what about this 11.2 run......?

the record for the highest output for a stock turbo was 437whp. it had larger injectors, a safc II, they had a custom ecu reflash ( which also raises boost ) turbo back exhuast, and with a mix of c16 and 93 octane fuel running 28 psi. this is with the stock air flow meter, plus stock EVO's comes with pretty decent size injectors, they come with 550cc's so they don't run out of fuel until 350whp.

well its pointless for him to run the stock fuel system if he is runng the "stage 3 turbo" since the stock turbo is as i have shown is sufficient enough to max out the stock fuel system. if he had that turbo he wouldn't gain much. since power is only relavent to air flow and fuel. without enough fuel he will run dangerously lean and cause alot of heat and have potential knocking problems. however there is a quick fix for that. its called alcohol injection. by doing a alcohol injection kit, it will effectivly cool off all your intake charge and raise your octane level to that near c16 race gas. this will allow him to temporary run 30 psi. but the thing is 30 psi on a "stage 3 turbo" is not the same as 30 psi on the stock 16G. it will flow a whole shit load more air, plus it would have to be a pretty damn big turbo to be able to hold 30 psi effectivly to redline without droping.

the story sounds fishy but you will never know. he's either not telling you the whole story or is telling you bullshit storys or his car is just pure bullshit all together and that you gotta tell your cousin to stop getting you into these situations.

tell him you will race him for $20 without lookin under his hood. kinda half ass race him and see if you can beat him. If u can, up it to $200 and make your money back. If not it cost you $20 to see how he runs.

Chill man, people have been posting non-race stories in this section for quite a while now. At least Savior has something interesting to bring to this section with his thread.

If this section was titled "War Stories" or "kills and deaths" then I would see probable cause to be upset but this is street racing related. Besides, the non specific section doesn't get as much attention as the street racing section does.

Anyway on topic.
This guy sounds like someone I used to work with. He had some old ass turbo volvo and thought he was hot shit, he walked around talking about how he put a stage 3 vortech supercharger on it and got a smaller pulley to increase the psi. Really sounds like someone talking a load of BS to me. Get a good shot of the stock evo engine bay somewhere, before you guys race tell him you'll pop your hood if they pop theirs and if you notice much changed then be weary but it should be a good battle between a couple of 4g63's though I sincerely hope you slam this guy.

So we have an EVO that no one knows anything about except for some BS about 30psi...that just leads to wild speculation (how did he end up with alchohol injection?).

Maybe he's got ten intercoolers, or maybe he's spraying juice. Hell maybe he's got a F100-PW-200 - 25000 lbs of thrust just might move an EVO 1/4 mile in 11.2 if he uses the afterburner.

I say just run the guy...and make your cousin pay the bet if you lose since he's the one who started the whole damn thing.

also popping the hood on a evo won't reveal much. most of the EVO's most effective mods are invisible. such as cams, injectors, and ecu reflash. the only visible mod would be the turbo back exhuast, but you can see that outside the car. so popping the hood wouldn't do much good. also a cammed evo sounds very close to stock since the evo's stock idle is already kinda shaky.

Mine did, at least, one of them did. The one I was trying to set up with teh A4 3.0 Audi isn't, becuase the guy who drives it pussied out, and refuses to race.

So as long as the EVO shows up, there will be a race. And RaidenKing, I'm boosting only 15-16 psi on the low Profec B setting, and about 18psi on the high setting. I haven't got around to tuning it for more boost yet, cars always in the damn shop........ But I think I might break out the laptop and DSMLINK for the race tonight. I'll see after I check out the EVO.

EDIT: Damnit, my GF just reminded me about the pact I made with the others about not racing for one month since Andy's passing. Well I won't be able to run him.......... But SHE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! :naughty:

YES I RACED HIM.

I slaughtered him BTW, wasn't even worth a post. Come to find out that the guy couldn't launch and just starts off like he was daily driving. Seroiusly, It was more busses then I can count.

And about 2-3 days after that race, the police came and invaded his moms house and took the H22 CRX. Turns out that it was stolen, and the guy had stolen it. He was arrested but got out on bail. Now he has been talking to a lawyer and is suppose to be going to court. LOL the people my cousin set me up to race......

Anyways now he has a B17GSRCRX.

So.......................... Im back from the GAS WASTING TRIP TO BASKIN ROBBINS!!!!!!!!!!!!! That stupid ass loser waste of sperm never showed up. My cousin goes to baskin robbins at about 8;00 to chill and wait for the EVO. We were all suppose to meet at around 10oclock and do the racing. I get there at 10:00pm (which is when we're all suppose to meet up and race) and ask my cousin whats up. He says that fool ain't came yet so we chill and wait............

11oclock rolls around and guess what still no 11sec Evo............

12 oclock rolls around....... STILL NO FUCKING EVO!!!!

So we all came to the conclusion that he was a lying ass mother fucking piece of shit bitch. and was too scared. One good thing was that I met this guy with an 11sec Lighting From the BALLS DEEP crew. He's got and upgraded pulley, internals, slicks, Boltons, and also runing a 100shot zex kit. He said suppose to be pushing about 550hp. We didn't runb though because he was late and had to go home.... But as he was leaving, he gave us a little purge show and took off swinging that back end out..... It was a fast truck!

So, sorry guys to waist your time, and my own...... I hate evo's.....
