5spd vs 6spd...conversion?

Firstly, is one superior? Does the 6spd have more range than the 5spd, will you go faster at lower revs?(in final gear), or is it just more gears?

And also, is it a bolt-on conversion? or are there other things that need to be changed?

its bold on, but you need everything. 6 speed trans, t-case, driveshaft, and rear end. And yes the final drive is lower. There is also a JDM gearing conversion you can do that is even lower gearing than the 6 speed that uses the 6 speed trans with jdm ring and pinion gear, 6 speed t-case, 6 speed driveshaft, and 5 speed rear end. However the gears are very hard to get ahold of.

the 6-speed is superior to the 91 and 92 5-speeds due to being a 25 spline instead of an 18 spline, yet the 93 has the 25 spline and a 5-speed so they are just is good. The 6-speed gears out around 235 mph where as the 5-speed gears out around 215 mph. However, this all depends on what gearing you want. The 5-speed gearing is superior if you are running the quartermile and trapping 120 or less, whereas if you are trapping higher, the 6-speed will be superior.
