High Flow Cat Question

Hey,
I recently ordered a magnaflow catback (5x8x18) system for my 95 Trans Am. It has 3inch tubing and the part number is M6615620. I was interested in ordering a high flow cat for the car to and wanted to know which one would be best with this catback system and my car. Will a high flow cat pass an emission inspection? Also, what O2 simulator will I need to buy with the high flow cat? I had heard that for my year Trans Am it needs two O2 sims, but I'm not sure. If you can help me, please be as specific about what I need as possible.

Check out CarSound cats. 'Bout the highest floeing cat on the market..... yes...they will pass emissions.

You only need O2 sims when NOT running cats.
Yes.... two sims/rear bungs only. Front O2's need to remain unless/until you get serious with SD(speed density)tuning.

I think any high flow cat from any reputable name brand would be sufficient. From my understanding their are only minor differences in a regular cat and a high flow cat. The difference is the overall shape of the filiment. You probably won't notice any hp gain. Not to say you shouldn't get one if you want it. If you want it go ahead and get it. It does show a cfm difference on a flow test.

I ended up needing rear O2 codes deleted from my computer when I ran hi-flow cats.
Sims would have worked as well. But cost more.

Random technology makes the best ones. Have them under my 79 and never failed once, also highly recommended by Car Craft,Hot Rod, and so on. Mine are 3 inch in and 3 inch out, installed right after the headers, bolted to the flange.
