I have been looking for a 99 SI recently and I found one with 63,000 miles on it,, the car is completely stock and the guy wants $8,500 for it. I was wondering if this is a good deal or not or if I should try and get the price lower. Also, is there any repairs that are common to the SI at around 60k miles that I should know about?? I am pretty new to the SI, so any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't have an SI, but other then any applicable recalls, the car shouldn't have any big matinence issues really soon- assuming it hasn't been abused through the first 50k miles of it's life.
Upcoming stuff is timing belt, possibly plugs. distributor cap and roter.
A lot of matinence-type stuff will be taken care of if you start putting performance parts on the car, since most of the heavy-wear parts are the first to get replaced.

if compression and leakdown results look good along with goos interior and exterior, then, it is worth $8500.
