I need to replace pads on 2003 Pilot. Honda wants too much $$, so I was looking elsewhere. All the web sites I see list Akebono as the OEM replacement. I have a friend who wants to get Wagner pads and says these are also OEM replacements. Any suggestions on which pads to go with?

Do yourself a favor....spend the extra money on the Honda OE pads. The aftermarket pads will feel different..you won't like that. The aftermarket pads are going to be NOISY....you won't like that. Chances are based on driving habits, they won't last as long...you won't like that. So , all thses headaches to save a few dollars, is it worth it? You get what you pay for like anything else.
Brakes are the most important safety feature on your vehicle, why pinch pennies there? The savings you are trying to get by doing this equates to less than 1 dollar a month.
No I don't work for Honda in anyway. I'm a service manager at a competitor (dealership) that drives a new Pilot...that go's over well.
