Ok, so maybe this isnt Thread worthy, but its fun nonetheless. Last night I was cruzin wastin time, when I saw an older muscle car ahead of me. I speed up to a red light so we are next to each other. Not sure what year, but it was a Skylark driven by some barely legal kid lol. But he reved the engine and I'm like "shit, I'm gonna loose, but w/e". I had 1/2 car length on him the whole time. Next light found out he was pulling a 350 small block under the hood. So maybe he had a bad start. Nope, I took him out 2 more times off the line. So much fun, and his little buddies in an SUV behind us pulled up givin me the thumbs up and laughing at him. Ah, good times.

Well, 1st, a 350 isn't a big block. 2nd, depending what year it was, it could be horrible underpowered. In the mid 70s when emission bs was coming about, horsepower on some of the V8s was downwards of 150hp, plus being in a big iron and steel car made for being super slow.

Yeah, I know about the big block. My bad with that typo. I changed that in my first post. As far as the other factors, he may not have been puttin out as many ponies as other muscle cars may have, but the weight ratio shouldnt be too much off of my Tib. We do drive heavy beasts ourself for a SC car, so I dont take that factor into a factor. But it was just fun any way you look at it. :grinyes:
