1995 Monte Z34

My Monte has a severe stuttering problem when driving down the highway. It also runs really rough and doesnt have much acceleration. Also when the motor hesitates, the radio turns on and off and the speedometer and the rest of the electronics go nuts. It came back with an EGR code and I replaced the EGR valve and that didnt do it. Alternator and battery are good.

check all of your grounds, its possible your neg cable is shot or not grounding properly...

either that or your sensors are bad.

i had the same problem with my 95 monte. it was the alternator. it had a hard time going from low rpms and headlights and radio would cut off. are you sure its not the alternator?

I agree. Sounds like either a ground or alternator problem. Remember ground prob's can be hell on bearings...
