Anybody Have Fairlady 240ZG Safari Pics?

Hi folks,

I have just bought the Tamiya 1/12 Fairlady 240ZG Safari (TAM12008) (http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM12008) and was wondering if any of you rally fans have any detail pics or know of any decent sites where I might find some interior or engine images. Google didn't really help very much!

Also, were any detail parts ever available for this kit?

Thanks for any help.

Richie

Do you know if that's a limited edition release? IE should I buy it ASAP or can I wait like a month maybe?

Hi mate,

I'm really not sure if it is limited or not, somebody here may know more.
I wasn't really looking at buying anything but when I saw it, I thought what the hell, do it.

Still not finding much in the way of referance material though.

I can't help you fnd any rtef: pictures, but I'm been looking around the hlj.com website, and they have some re-issues of Tamiya 1:12 kits.. I'm saving up really fast for the MP4/6 1:12... I have to have that kit..!!

I have the Reinhard Klien book Rally here someplace. I looked but there isn't much in there, mostly B&W exterior shots.

SteveK2003 - That's just about all that I have been able to find as well so I'm going to have to use a lot of 'artistic license' in some areas, or maybe use pics of the road cars engine bay for a few ideas.

Well, it arrived over the weekend along with a few other goodies. I didn't really appreciate just how big the box was going to be!

There are an unbelievable amount of parts, 7 for each suspension strut alone. Detail looks very good particularly with the engine, however each piece looks like it will require a certain amount of cleaning up, some flash, mold lines etc but it looks very promising if not a little scary!!

All in all I am very impressed and look forward to making a start, although after a long summer of excessive overtime at work I am a little behind on a couple of other projects that I may complete first including the Lancer WRC and Williams that have been on hold for a LONG time:-

That Safari kit looks so nice. I am tempted to get one and convert it to a street 240z.

For pics you can try http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/

I've seem a few pics of the safari car on there. You need to register for the site.

Look here http://www.z-point.nl/

This shoul be reissue so it should last for some time because it is on official Tamiya site. I bet Acustion will make some goodies for it very soon.
