95 escort cd player install

Just wondering if anyone has some pointing for installing a cd player in a 95 escort. Im installing an alpine deck for my sister and im lookin for advice on gettin the stock radio out.

Ford will gladly sell you the special tool but here's what I did: In each corner of the face of the radio is a small hole. Cut four lengths of coat hanger and stick one in each hole. Pushing on them will release the lock and it will slide out.

Anyways, yep, thats how you do it, 2 coathangers bent in a U shape.

I did i seach but you cant use CD so i just typed in "player install" i must have missed that thread. But i did try the search, I always do before posting questions that have more than likely been answered before. Thanks for the help though.

Wal-mart sell's the removel tool for $4, it works better then the coat hanger trick, I've done it both way's. Plus by a $9 wireing harness while your there. It's super easy on these cars.
