Odd Squeek...

Ok, just today after work I got in my car and turned it over. Right then I started to hear a constant squeek, not loud, but it only happens when I am not on the gas. Anybody have any idea what it is? I opened the hood and I guess the general area where it was the loudest and took some pics.

Also, another question, when I accelerate fast on a full tank (or near full) i smell gas, is this a problem? Thanks for all the help.

Dont know about your part, but something's screaming which means somethings going on.

About the gas, yes it means you have a leak somewhere, i'd replace your fuel filter if you havent already then look around your fuel lines to see something weird.

Replace the fuel filter then look for leaks, Ok. Is there a special tool for the fuel filter release of some type?

your belts loose. that means it needs to be tightened or your tensioner is bad or you just have to spray it with some of that belt dressing stuff. grab ypur belt and it should be able to move like half a inch up and half an inch down.

Know you dont need any special type of tool, just a wrench, it's pretty simple to do.

you dont. if you have a tensioner then its busted and if you dont then you tighten it. not sure what th gens have but its prob a tensioner cause i have one in my 88.and if you can move your tensioner without a rachet its prob bad.or your real strong. or somthing. but is the squeak real loud? cause if its real quiet like you really have to listen it might be something else.

Maybe I misread something...

If not, I'd replace the belt, and pick up a tensioner. If swapping out the belt doesn't alleviate the problem, change the tensioner. If you get a squeel when you rev the engine, it's most likely one of the two.
