Whats not real about a bypass valve? All its for is so you dont end up with hydro lock thanks to water getting into your cold air intake.

Yeah it works. Now it just depends on if you mind its not name brand or not. Granted its a whole lot cheaper then an AEM bypass but frankly I trust them more so thats what I went with but that one will work all the same. Also if your like me and no longer have the internal fender splash guards you may also want to pick up a little half shell heat shield for the filter to prevent alot of splash up.

No. Its an engine saving device not a performance part. In the long run you can look at it like this.....$20-50 bypass or the cost of a new engine.

All the bypass does is sense pressure in the intake. If the filter were to get too wet from rain, or too dirty or whatever, the bypass valve closes induction from the filter and sucks in air through the foam you see.
If you run a true CAI you should have one of these.

i actually e-mailed the guy for the one for a 2.2 and he said that it connects to the tb and goes to the fender but not in it. if you buy one let me know what you think about it
