I'm very disapointed in my car... hopefully it's just my car. I have an 03 spec v with 60 k miles on it. I got it with 52k miles on it. So far I have had a list of problems with it... it's starting to get discouraging. I heard so much about how these cars are practically legends and all you have to do for the most part is change the oil every 2k miles. I've actually been regreting not getting an acura rsx. Anyone else had any problems with specs?

The List:
Transmission Replaced
Glove Box Hinges
New Brakes/Rotors(kinda routine)
Anti Freeze Hose Busted
Flywheel replaced
Fuel Pump Replaced
And now my right wheel bearing or cv shaft is going out...

I've heard of some 02's with problems like that but not ALL of them, especially on an 03. Yeah, sorry dude, guess it was just bad luck. Sounds like a lemon. That's why I stick to the tried and true SR20 cars!! haha, j/k

Every FW drive car needs to have their axles replaced, and 50k to 60k is actually pretty damn good for axles. Lots of people have to do em every 35-40k. If you accelerate around turns alot, your gonna wear em out quicker. Also, is you car lowered? If so, those axles are gonna go alot quicker, cause the CV joint is constantly in a state of flex. Brakes at 60 are, as you stated, routine as well. Make sure your changing those pads often, don't ever get down to the indicator tabs in em, or your scoring up your rotors, cutting down on their life. Your rotors are getting lathed everytime you do your brakes right? If you drive your car hard, your heating up those brakes alot, and they are gonna warp a bit over time, and the lathing will be a bit more than your standard driver, and need replacing sooner. As for the rest of the probs, damn, sorry bout those, especially your tranny. That should not be a problem this early in the car. I have an 02 that I just got a week ago, and I hope it doesn't start falling apart on me *crosses fingers*.

haha, i'm hoping after I fix whatever the hell is wrong with my front end I won't have a problem with the car for a looooong time. Hopefully it's just a stroke of bad luck. Fortunately the warranty covered the tranny, fuel pump, antifreeze hose, and the glovebox, but it's just been a pain. I'll let you guys know what the deal is with my front end. Should be calling on it tomorrow.
