Horn blows starting car

I just dont understand ,when I turn my key to accessaries everything is fine,but when I go to start engine the horn blows until the engine is running ,Its a 1992 bonnie ssei,any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated,Thanks

I've seen aftermarket anti-theft devices that will honk the horn if an accessory is not activated. For example, you need to turn the left/right turn signal or the "flash-to-pass" high beams on before or while cranking in order to start. Otherwise, the horn will honk.

It's odd that your car actually starts and honks the horn, though. Is this car new to you or have you had it for a while??

Yes this car is new to me,sometimes the horn wont honk,but most of the time it will, so I unplugged both horns for now,also sometimes,when I turn the key the starter does not turn,but if I keep trying after a minute or two it will turn over. I dont see any evidence of any alarm.

Under factory conditions, there is no correlation between the horn and starter circuit so I'm pretty confident that there is some aftermarket device in your car. If my guess is correct, look for a small "box" a little smaller than a pack of cigarettes and wires leading to the transaxle position switch. The wires will interrupt the starter wire which is a heavy gauge yellow wire going into the switch and a heavy gauge purple wire from the switch to the starter. It can be wired into either of the two wires. Sometimes the boxes are mounted on or near the dirver's side strut tower.
