Hey guys, could you please thell me what problems, if any, you've had with your cars. I bought, for a moment, a 2005 ZX3 and it broke down 5 minutes after I rolled it off the lot.

2005 Focus ZX4, 2.0 duratec, bought brand new for my lead foot mom last september... 21K miles, no problems at all...

I bought a new ZX4 in early july. A great deal for a brand new car with the family and friends discount. 1st problem there was a small section on the passenger site door sill on the bottom were there was no paint just primer. Dealer fixed this even though it is a crappy job with I am still waiting for them to fix. 2nd problem the air conditioning cuts out for a few seconds when I accelerate hard from a dead stop or if I am passing some one. Service tech said he couldn't reproduce this problem. He is full of it. 3rd and last problem the plastic molding around the front passanger seat belt is loose. Hopefully this is the last of the problems I will encounter. Still think this car is a great value for just under $12,000 for a brand new american made car. I don't regret my purchase at all. It is better than my 1996 Cavalier Z24 more comfortable better gas mileage. Do miss power windows and my moonroof but still a good deal.

I bought an 05 Focus ZX3 SE and traded in my 2000 Grand Am on it (glad to be rid of that piece of...you get the idea). I bought it in December using a discount I got from work which actually beats the Ford employee discount by 5% but anyway I've had no problem with it what so ever. I have noticed that the stock tires don't grip very well but a lot of that is due to that fact that I don't have traction control. Also my rear bumper is a little lower on the passenger side so it looks a little off but you can't really notice until you're up close. The shifter (its a manual) could be a little more crisp but that can be easily solved with an upgrade. But these are really me nit-picking. The car gets great mileage, even with my lead foot and road rage. It handles great, especially when I whip around someone in traffic. I can't complain about the car overall.

so i have an 02 zx3 that my mom handed down to me 2 months ago or so, which shes owned for the past 3 years- she bought it from her best friend. so its been adult driven the whole time. never had any problems with it what so ever, clutch is still perfect after 3 years!! but it sucks, kuz i never wanted it really- i got kinda stuck with it. im looking to sell it, and ive been looking for a gti 1.8t for about a year now. some one HELP!!!

2001 ZX3 here and have has no problems with it at all..... only non-maitenence thing ive had to replace is the DFPE sensor at 76k miles nothing out of the ordinary. Love the focus to death getting ready to drop about 6-7k in upgrades on it (if bank approves me for a loan)

i own a 2001 focus ZX3 i never have a major problem with it i would recommend this car to anyone is cheap, an fast enough for a 4 cylinder

Your 2nd "problem" is NOT a problem. You might even find it explained in your owner's manual. The PCM turns the A/C off under hard acceleration. It does that to free up power to the wheels. That is nothing new. All cars do that and have done that for a couple of decades. The smaller and pukier the engine, the more important it is for the A/C to turn off..... Ofcourse, I read your thread to mean the compressor only is cutting off. The blower in the dash and the vent positions should remain., but the air coming out may warm up before that rubber band engine gets the vehicle up to speed.
