Ordered the heads for the 402 today.
Another step closer.
I got a GREAT deal on a set of Patriot LS6 Stage 2 heads. I have heard Patriot has has their issues worked out, so we will see.
Flow just gets to 300cfm at .600 lift, and that was a requirement for any heads I was going to buy.
Should still be enough to make 475 RWHP or so. I hope. Maybe tune it closer to 500.


This guy has roughly the same set-up I will be having. Mine should idle roughly like that.

I wanted heads that were double the price. Not in the cards right now. These should be fine though. Might lose 20-25RWHP off what I was aiming at though.
But I will be back on the road faster this way.

You know what I do when I am in the I can't afford the best parts bin right now. I buy what I can and then later sell the part I bought and put in the extra cash to upgrade. Fortunetly performance parts like heads, headers and posi's just to name a few hold there value pretty good in the resale market.

And I got these MUCH cheaper than what they are worth.

And yes, these Patriots are going on the 402ci. They will flow well enough for me, for now.
They would bolt onto any LSx based motor. Now will they produce the numbers you need????

i think it sounds like shit... i think he filled his muffler up with rice crispies and then when he turns on his car it adds milk or something... it needs that vrooom sounds... that crackling sound is annoying as shit... but if you like it man, more power to ya

It sounds like it has a mean idle. Not sure of the exhaust on it, and I know it wasn't tuned when that footage was filmed.
Mine may sound kinda funky at idle, but be REALLY pissed off sounding anywhere else. It may take a couple different mufflers to find a good sound. Of course, I am more concerned with making the power.
