I have a 2001 e320 wagon and all of a sudden it wont start. It had been sitting for two days, started fine, i drove it around for a while and when i came home i tried to start it again and it wouldnt start. It wont even turn over. I charged the battery and all i hear is a tick when i turn the key. Any ideas on what this could be? Fuel pump maybe? HELP PLEASE!!!!

Low or dead battery, starter or solinoid...I would check those first.

Most likely a dead battery. If the fuel pump were bad it would crank but would not start.

I had the same problem..they told me it was a transmision control module...keeps the car form startiing if the tarnsmission isn't in par or neutral...I knew mine was problematic because the transmission wouldn't shift smoothly when I tried starting it in park rather than neutral.

This could be the alternator is dead. The battery is drain out without getting charged from the alternator. This is why you run a while, then you could not start anymore.
