Idea: AF Meet/Driving School

Just an idea sparked from the "i hate 15/16 y/o racing fenatics" thread.

An AF meet where we reserved a whole weekend or something at a driving school, well not nesicarily reserved the weekend but where we met up for a day of learning how to drive better. lol. If planing started now we could do this this time next summer in the south east (because i want to come)

Depending on when and where I would be up for that!

It would have to be in the Ft. Worth area in the summer or the Columbia MO area for the rest of the year, and free.

How about the North east...or even better Canada!! come on, canadian beer, we can all get drunk after driving school

It'd be cool, but lots of the racing schools are in the range of $1000-4500+. Depending on how long and what type of instruction is being taught.

If we weren't all young people who work for a living and could afford such luxuries. Like traveling cross country to wherever to spend 1... 2... 4 days of performance/racing school.

I'd be all for it. I've always wanted to do a racing school myself. Would be boat loads of fun. Once I get the Z28 paid down... I might do it.

We all live too far from each other (at least of us do). Nobody is going to drive 12 hours to meet up with someone from the internet (unless she's 18, female, 5'5" and has a 36D chest).

^^i would drive 12 hours to see some of the cars here...virginia is as far north as i will go and lousiana as far west. Im sure my parents would be willing to chip in half of the cost for driving school...just for a day with basic racing skills, what lines to take, how to handle skids, how to set up for a corner, excetra...shouldnt be more than, like said $1000, and if enough can come there may be group type discounts.
im not talking stunt driving ;) .
im glad to see there is some intrest...it doesnt even have to be next summer, could be the summer after, i may have a project car i can take by then. or i may be too poort because i'd be getting ready for college.

Yea i think its a good idea. If we did it we'd have to divide up say like if your in a certain area you go to this track, and if your in a different area you go to this other track. I live in missouri, and im only 15 but i could get my dad to go it just couldnt be TO far away.

dont know how do-able it is...

more of a fantasy than something that would be likely to happen. I'd be all for it if there was some millionare on the board with nothing better to do than pay for everyone's racing school and the meet itself.

I'm deep in FL so I don't know who all is close by but we could at least organize small meets. What they do here is have BBQ's for the meets or meet at hooters on saturdays. I'd be down for something like that

i'm going to be in west palm beach next summer....we could almost have a florida meet...hehe....or at least we would have enough ppl in the southeast to at least have a bbq or something, and then after wards do some racing at a track....just throwing ideas out...

I'm in sarasota, maybe all of us could Floridians arrange a meet in orlando or tampa? I'll be in orlando for a few days soon anyway to check out UCF. Might be able to drag a few people out there.

Well i cant drag anybody....but i can deff still come, lol. orlando is 2 1/2hrs from me, tampa about the same.
We could all head out to bithlo (big SP) outside of orlando and do some true redneck drag racing with the people from carpocolypse (another SP)

The bike sounds much more fun though and would be preferable.

Senior year here so my ass gets to take advantage of those dirtbag frosh/sophs and even juniors. Girls get giggly when they find out you're a senior.

I didn't mind dating in high school...drama queens dont work on you if you dont care enough to let it get to you...

but in uni everybody so much more relaxed, with no parents around everybodys always in a good mood, and and I get to get hammered on a wednesday
