I was wondering if I could put in a different sub than the factory 8" in there. I just wanna take the old one out and drop a new one in. However, i need to know the depth and just how possible this is. Any and all sugesstions are welcome.

thanks.

I think it depends on what year you have, but my 1999 had the 8" and after talking with the best car audio shop in town they said to go with the 8" JLW0. If you're wanting to save money by using the factory amp, this JL will be your best bet. I definately noticed a big difference over the factory, but don't expect it to sound like anything more than a solo 8" sub. But I will say that this sub has excelent range all the way through with any type of music, especially for under $100. There are some pictures on my Cardomain site (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/806047/4) to give you some clues. Doing it yourself saves money, but there is quite a bit of work. Good Luck!

i guess i should have thoght out my reply a little better...one more question. What was the ohms of your speaker? Do i have to use an 8ohm? or can i use a 4 ohm...5ohm?

I have the 4ohm 8W0 but I don't remember the mounting depth. I would go with this speaker, though. There's not many other subs with the quality and sound of the JL. Everybody I know loves JL and now so do I. You can go to sounddomain.com to find the mounting depth, I'm sure.
