engine light problem

Hey, I have a problem with my engine light coming on when I drive, then when I cut the car off the engine light goes off. It doesn't come on while I'm driving normal, but when I put my foot in it the light comes on and it responds quicker. Any suggestions?

its only when you floor it that the light comes on? do you have any mods on her? my '92 lude did a similar "check engine light" and the engine seemed to loose power when i would floor it sometimes...then i changed the o2 sensor and spark plugs (and wires too...just had to) and it seemed to fix the problem...

After extensive trouble shooting I realize that it might be an 02 sensor problem. I am saving up the cash to fix it.

Question when I attemp to turn on my AC the green light will not come on any suggestions
