Towing Advice

Recently purchased a small 14ft. Alumicraft boat. It is pretty light and have experienced no apparent problems towing with my 2002 Grand Caravan EX. Took it ~ 250 miles on freeway. We have had a hitch on this car for the purpose of carrying bicycles (5 bikes on a Hitch type carrier). We are considering trying to carry both the bikes and tow the boat on an upcoming trip. What is the best approach?

Throw the bikes in the boat and put a tarp over them.
