OK I was going to order window film for my car. The roll of film measures 22'' by 10 feet but my rear window measures 31'' can this film still be used? I haven't found any film that measures over 24'' especailly in the color that I want.

What kind of car? Is the back window perfectly flat? Most aren't and, if this is the case, you won't get a "one piece" layer of film to lay on the window anyway. The mylar film does not like compound curves and trying to make it fit will leave you with a sticky wad of wrinkled tint.... It took four pieces of film, 10" wide, to do the back window in my '73 Firebird. This was done by a pro and the window was out of the car. If you are not an old hand at installing tint this can be an expensive learning process. I will suggest that you go to a shop and have it done. It will be much cheaper in the long run and they will guarantee their work. Been there, done that...

Oh I had no plans of doing this myself. I was going to order the film and take it to the shop and have them put it on for me. I'm not sure if the shop will have the color film that I want so thats why I was going to order it and take it to them. The car is a 2000 Monte Carlo and the rear window does curve. My main concern was if the shop would be able to put it on even though it wasn't long enough.
