sanding

sup fellas i got tierd of hand sanding my car so i got one of those orbitol sanders and i wanted to ask what grit sand paper should i get? cuz im hearing the wrong paper can mess up the metal?

Are you going to take it down to metal? You may want to start with 220 180 or 120 somewhere around there. It depends on what you need. My Cutlass was painted really bad and they just painted over old paint so it was different.
