Aveo Radio

Hi:

I purchased a 2004 Aveo last December. Generally, I'd give it a C+ (but honestly, I didn't expect much better - with my GM Card points it was $9,100 out the door - that was the main consideration). Mileage at 32 or so is a bit disappointing, but I can live with it - I commute 80 miles per day to work.

For the folks who have issues with Daewoo products...

I did have a Pontiac LeMans back in '88 (the Daewoo LeMans). Drove it to the gates of Hell and back - twice - find Inuvik, NWT on a globe (hint in 1990 it was as far North as you could drive on this side of the planet) - yep I went there in my LeMans - from Michigan! Only problems were a broken windshield (almost 1,000 miles of loose gravel) and one flat. BTW, I left for the trip at the 90K mileage point.

OK, so I'm nuts - here's my problem. Like I said, I've had my Aveo since December and I'm about to have to replace my SECOND radio (this will be number three). Is anybody else having these problems?? The first one had the CD player go out. Now, the replacement will not play FM. I figure I'll keep getting the free ones until my warranty expires, then I'll upgrade. Just curious as to other's experiences.

Good luck with your Daewoos. Keep 'em serviced and don't drive them like they're Mustangs and you may be pleasantly surprised.

The lemans inst a daewoo gm bought out daewoo a few years back thats why theres no longer daewoo The new little chevy aveo and some other new products are daewoo the lemans i believe a a 4 cylendar cast iron block motor that came from gm itself not a korean ot jap man They were real chevy cars and unkillable

Your saying your radio went out twice? First the CD and then the FM? What do you have? The SV or the LS Model?
