I just bought a Peripheral SVEN4 interface to install a aftermarket Headunit in my 94 camaro with 3 speaker bose system. I have wired everything up and the Hu turns on and all the controls are functual but there is no sound. Does anyone have any experience with this interface or have an idea what could be wrong. A wiring diagram would be great if someone has any idea. Thank in advance

Make sure no speaker connections are shorted; if they are the radio will shut off all the speakers.

So you bought this? http://www.sounddomain.com/item/PERSVHGM2

Why? All you need is: http://www.cardomain.com/item/SCOGM02B?vq_id=none

You get that, and it plugs into your factory harness. Then, your headunit should have come with it's own harness, that you would then splice into the one you bought. That way, your factory harness converts it's signal into the aftermarkets harness, worked like a charm for me. Don't see what you would need the other thing for.

cuz its bose. You cant just hook up an aftermarket deck to it and expect it to work. Ive pretty much given up on my bose stereo. I think I have found a shop that deals with bose automotive stuff so maybe ill go down there and ask if I could just barrow one to plug it in and see if my speakers work or if they are blown or what because ive never even gotten a hiss or buzz or anything out of them. Most likely i will yank the cerwin vegas out of my 89 and then pick up some 4x6's for the fronts and wire it all up and be done with it. I just dont get it though... the guy who had the car before me had to of had an aftermarket deck....he left the reducer plate where the deck goes that lets you put the normal sized decks in.....he installed a sony cd changer......WHAT DID HE DO????? I bought the little box that is supposed to get everything to work....or at least thats what it said it would do....i got it at best buy. I didnt buy the one from sound domain. Maybe it would make all the difference. if it did that would be wonderfull and I would be histerical!. As you can see im just kinda venting here cuz im tired of this. I had to just sit speaker boxes with very very crappy jenson speakers in them in my back seat just so that i wouldnt have to go without my tunes.....grrrrrrrrr......

Im having a hard time finding where the wires go to and come from. From the deck the wires must go to a box somewhere in the dash which as of right now i cant see or get to. From that box the wiring goes to each speaker which has its own amplifier. SO...the first box must be the box that distributes power to the individual amplifiers. Problem is that maybe those amplifiers arent getting juice because I cant get that first box to turn on for some reason.......There is a relay thats suppose to kick on too but i cant find that either... Hey camaro3.4 if you buy the Peripheral SVEN4 interface which according to the sounddomain tech you DO need. Lemme know if it works for you. Maybe the Peripheral SVEN4 interface box has something special about it that would make it work. But i figured that the box i got from best buy would of done the same thing but maybe not.

Well, I've got the bose system as well.. the 10 speaker monsoon sound system that comes in the 4th gens. The guy has practically the same car as me, minus a 1 year difference. I hooked up an aftermarket Sony Xplod to it and it works fine. There's no complication to it at all. All you have to do is get that part I said, splice the wires together so that it's basically an adapter from the stock gm harness to the aftermarkets harness and then hook it up. Should only take ya about 30 minutes to do, if that. And my friend even did the same thing with his 89 maro, and he even had the Bose system. I don't really get what could be giving you trouble? Yeah the speakers have their own amplifiers, but regardless.. it should still work fine. It did for me and I still have my same stock 10 year old speakers and they sound flawless.
