96 Blazer Miss Found problem

Well I found the problem for my miss in the engine. There is water in the oil When I pulled the dipstic it is a nice creamy beige color. There was no antifreeze in the system only water I was in the process of flushing it. But when I changed the plugs they were not Wet? Is there another seal that would allow fluid into the oil? Besides head gasket but it does not overheat the water just dissapears into the oil what seals would cause that besides a head gasket I really need some help here thanks.

Before I would blame head gaskets, check your lower intake seal. The plenum is divided into two parts, and if the lower plenum gasket goes - well it starts mixing coolant with oil pretty quick to make the mess you describe.

Edit: Rent or buy ($12) a coolant system pressure checker. Put it in place of the radiator cap and pump it up to operating pressure (15 lbs). If she doesn't hold, and you see fluid leaking somewhere between the heads, or pouring out the back of the engine to drip down your transmission bell housing, it may very well be your lower intake seals.

When mine blew three weeks ago, it was both. It mixed up the coolant withthe oil and poured fluid out the back of the block on the driver's side. It was a mess. :P

Either way, you need to fix this ASAP, you can't drive it like this. It will destroy your engine.

Sweet I was hoping to hear that Thats what I thought may have happend because it is not burning anything. But it does run like sh*#.
So if I remove the upper intake and buy a new top set of gaskets and replace them all that may fix my problem?.

No, find out which gasket is shot.

A mechanic will have to test that out for you.

A mechanic What? Thats funny a mechanic has no way tell what gasket it is. If I took it to a mechanic they would say it was the head gaskets and replace the whole top end to be safe. When you are working Flat rate it pays to go for the job that pays four hours more. And only a little more work when you have allready removed the Plenum. For me mechanics are not the answer. Good old fashioned experiance thats the best teacher for me. Do you wan't to depend on someone else to fix your rig?. Or learn how to do it yourself, Then it's truly your ride!!!!!

Never heard of a propane test to find an intake leak have you.
