How do I adjust the idle on my car? Is this my problem?

When I first start up my car it starts strong. Then it slowly idles lower, still over 1000rpm but putts a little like it might die but doesn't. Then slowly goes back up. Also, if I put it in drive or reverse right after starting it it also drops in RPMs quickly. Ones I start driving it runs great. Then I get to a stop it idles so low (maybe 250-300) that it kinda putters also but never dies. Will adjusting my idle fix this problem? If so, how do I adjust it on a 95 LX?

I can also hear the pitch in my exhaust change as the idle drops. I don't really know how to explain. It's like it sounds really deep for a 10nth of a second and then the pitch drops as the RPMS do and does that every few seconds until it evens out. Then does the same thing as the idle goes back up.

It's called Start Up Idle... It's normal.
My Civic idle's at 300rpm sometimes too... No big deal, I haven't had any problems with it. However, if you're trying to adjust your idle. Look on the throttle body (Stand on the passenger side), and the adjustment screw is to the right of the throttle body.
I wouldn't suggest touching it for this problem though.

I'd recommend checking your spark plugs.
