Car really over heating

My 93 Century is over heated to the point of boiling the oil. I only drove it that one time and have not driven it since. I have checked the radiator and it stays cool while the engine overheats. The fan works fine. I have bought a new themostat and waterpump just in case. But I dont know where the thermostat is located on this model. I know it is a simple question but I don't want to waste any time. Or might there be something else I need to check?

If the radiator is staying cool then it is probably the thermostat stuck in the closed position. If it got hot enough to boil the oil you will probably have problems with the head gaskets as the head probably warped. You can find the thermostat by following the top radiator hose to the engine block. Where it connects to the block or manifold is the thermostat housing.

Make absolutely sure that you change the oil and filter before starting the engine. If you boiled the oil you may have to remove the pan to clean the sludge out of the pan.
