What would you guys do... 2.3 stroked 6bolt

1. Use the Stock 1G head with FP comp 2 cams

2. Use my 2G head with same cams but ported, crower valve springs, TI retainers, and honed mani

Not sure what to do here i am at the step of putting the head on but have 2 sitting here looking at me :)

I prefer the 1g head for strokers, but I have never run a 2g head on one either. Valve train upgrades wont be necessary since you don't rev strokers as high as 2 liters generally. I was only going to ~8000 rpm on the stroker, and the stock valvetrain can do that all day. Larger cams like the 3s and up do need upgraded springs and such because of the aggressive ramp rates IIRC.

Well shit...lol... That still leaves me thinking. Now i kinda wanna go 2G just to see what it's like. I was leaning to the 1G choose for me LOL

2g is better, but will take $1000 port job to get runners to the same size as a 1g's. there was an artical in june's Modified mag that talks more about the 1g/2g head. though there are a couple things i dont agree with.

i'd recomend fp3 cams on a 1g head. if you upgrade anything get new lifters. highly recomended with new cams. just depends on how much $$ you feel like spending. you'll get a diffrent answer for everyone you ask.
