okay. so here's my day so far.

i wake up..whatever...head out to the store...come back home...cool.
think to myself is there enough time to install my new intake? (probably not so. so i'll save it for tomorrow)

1 hour later, head back out to my car and about to leave my house.
as i start the car, nothing happens. all i hear is the sound of ignition but the engine won't start. the check engine light is on as i'm trying to start the car.

anyway, did my car just die? what could it possibly be?
its been driven about 90000km and don't think the sparkplugs were changed yet. so i was thinking that?...i check the oil regularly and it's still fine.

i just find it weird that i was driving it around earlier and it was fine...this is the first time i've ever had problems starting the car.

anyway it's 1998 2.4L . any input would be great.

is that right. anyway, yah i didn't leave a light on. i was thinking maybe it's my alternator. cause i checked the battery and it's seems to be fine. perhaps running my amp is too much for my alternator. anyone ever hear of that?

no but running an amp can sometimes be too much for a battery.
take it to an autozone or whatever and get them to check your battery and alternator..i heard they do it for free

if it doesnt crank over its the battery. period. unless you blew a piston and the engine seized lol. but youd know if that happened.

if it does turn over but no boom boom one of a couple things. check electric first, as in coil/distributor. if non of them first all at once, its not your plugs/plug wires. if it tries to start or does but really badly, or you hear it hit in a cylinder like it wants to start, then look into your plugs/plug wires. if its not your coil/distributor, fuel pump went IF it cranks. again, no crank= bad battery
