zc block

This 88 crx has a 1.6 zc block in it. With an SI Head and the original 1.5L
intake manifold and dual point inj. throtle body ( I bought the car as is)

Car needs new head... can I use a DOHC Vtec head or is the ZC
block compatible with DOHC only ?
Can I use USDM head or do I have to locate a JDM head?
I am also upgrading the manifold and throtle body to match whatever
head I use.

now is that the sohc zc? if so and its DPFI youve got some work to do. no there isnt a dual overhead vtec head for that motor. but if you really want vtec you can put the sohc d16y6 or d16z6 head on it. remember the zc is a d series motor. if you get a zc head you can only use a zc intake. if you go for the d16y or z you can use anything from a sohc 1.6 from 88 to present. and the exhaust manifold are interchangeble except on the zc it needs to be ported.
