Idle Problem

So I ended up replacing the clutch and flywheel. But even before like when I would disconnect the battery and I would have to reset the idle it always takes like 30 to 40 min to reset the idle. Does this happen to everyone? Is the eclipse just a slow lerner haha? Also like my car will die sometimes when I shift gears back to nutural and break the idle will drop all the sudden and sometimes it will kill the engine. Anyone else have idle problems and how did you fix it? Could it be that I don't ahve a large enough cone for the air filter I'm at 2.5, should I go 3.5? I have a 2000 eclipse GT.

when you reset your ECU, do you drive it right after you reset it, or do you let it idle for awhile?
what are your mods?

I usually don't drive it, I just sit there in the car and keep it from killing so it can reset. I also only have an Injen Short Ram Air-Intake, I had cold for a while, but its the flood season in LA right now so I figured I'd not take the chance. But thats it, I was going to put a cat-back exhaust but wondering if its worth the money. But since I'm already having idle problems I figured I'd wait on that.

check all of the vacuum hoses up around the throttle body.
have you been having this problem ever since you installed the intake? or did it just start?

I've checked hte vaccum hoses and they look fine to me, and my friend who has built a NSX from the ground up, he said he didn't know much about the 2000 eclipses. But I've had this problem sice I've put in the intake, but only with the idle setting taking 40 min to get set.

the red arrow is pointing to the MAS(Mass Air Sensor). you NEED to have the on the car and plugged up.

oh yeah, haha I have that on. Someone suggested a faulty idle air controller motor? What do you guys think, or bad ECU?

if it was a bad ECU, then the car wouldnt run

update... idle problem fixed by plugging in the MAS thing all the way, apparently when they took the intake out to fix the clutch and flywheel they didn't put the plug back in all the way the bastards.
