98 Chrysler T&C A/C switch lights blinking

My van w/ 101,000 miles has the A/C and the recirc button little orange lights flashing. These were flashing, along with the instrument lights, and van wouldn't start. The van eventually started, and I then cleaned off the battery posts and terminals. No more starting problems, but switch lights keep flashing. Any ideas??
