cruise control question ???

hello everyone,,,sometimes while driving the cruise control will just shut of by itself..the cruise usually will not work again until i pull the car over,turn off and re-start again..then it works fine till this happens again..i take long trips weekly and love using cruise control..any ideas..it also seems like it's becoming harder and harder for the cruise control to kick on at all...thanks

I have had a similar issue and after working the off/on/res switch back and forth 20 or 30 times its seems better. 'Still does it from time to time though.

you might want to try replacing the brake/stop sensor located behind the brake pad. a quick way to see if this is the problem next time is to put your foot behind the brake pad and lift it up and then try to set cruise again. it worked for me. my wife loves cruise and i heard about it daily until i figured this one out. lol
