alright, so this winter i'm going to be buying one of those sexy sexy girls. Problem is, the only other car on my list that i may want is a late model SVT Cobra, i've gone to a ton of dealer ships and no one has let me test drive either cause i won't fill out a credit app cause i have my own financing. So can anyone give me the exact quarter mile times of these two cars so that i can pick one, i'm praying that they WS6 is at least a low 14 car, though i've heard that it can do mid 13's someone please help. and if anyone has a link to a site that has qt mi times i'd greatly appreciate it thanks!

Hey Jake, go look threw road & tracks and car&driver and motor trends, you will see that they average like 13.4 - 13.6 with F-body LS1's. Some have taken there LS1's into the 12's which is amazing with any stock car with the price tag of the F-body's its incredible although the Cobra's are very impressive as well. They are both good choices no matter which you choose. Good luck

Either car is a VERY good choice.
WS.6 will see low-mid 13's in a stock car. Bolt-ons and drag radials get you mid-upper 12's. Not bad.
Cobra has that wonderful blower. Upper 12's if it will hook stock. Plus, it takes better to mods. Pulley and a couple bolt-ons, and you have a machine.
Personally, I would go with the WS.6. Looks outweigh the little bit of performance gain for me, hence the WS.6 I have torn apart in my garage.

When I bought my '00 WS6 I was able to go high 12's-low 13's(depending on track prep/weather etc.)w/ only a lid/exhaust, "free" mods, and Nittos.
Both are nice cars and both respond well to mods.
Sig shows my preference....

I personally wouldn't go with the SVT. Friend of mine helped his friend install some headers on his, and man.. he said they had to disconnect the motor mounts and jack the engine up just to get them on. Said the valve covers were huge and you had no room to even work on the thing. Which kind of makes sense since it's a DOHC.

Mind me asking how you got that power N/A?? Which H/C set-up?
Judging by torque, you are still running stock cubes, or just a touch over.

You're correct... stock cubes(for now). Just a home built stock bottom H/C 346" w/all supporting bolt ons.
Heads are TEA stage 1.5 5.3L hand finished, Cam is a FMS(Futral Motor Sports)F11(228/230,585/595,112+3*).
Hoping for 600+/600+ and 10.40's on a 150 wet hit. We'll see....

Should be right at the threshold of 9's adding that shot. Depending on how well you can get hooked.

Dunno about 9's... stepped up to a 28" slick on a 4.56 gear this year(from a 26"/4.10). Should help the 60' being able to leave harder, but like you said.... hookin' is another wet dream w/this car(reaching for pixie dust )
Btw.... sorry 'bout hi-jacking the original thread.... gotta watch me guys.... I tend to deviate....
