removing climate control cable

The problem i need help with is removing the climate control cable which is similar to a bicycle brake cable. can anyone help?

maybe it's just me, but I'd say if people didin't respond to your other thread (well I did) then you're probably not going to get a response with a thread-copy.

What do you need to do with it? The core is steel so don't worry about breaking it. Be careful not to bend. The housing is plastic and can break. If you need to move it for a new radio then get a plastic tie strap and secure it to something above the radio. Out of your way.

The cable is attached to the back of the console so i can't pull the radio out. On the console side is a spiral gear which seems permanently attached. The other side is down on the drivers side and i don't know how to remove it.

The bracket securing it to the back of the radio (if I understand) is probably glued on. Just pry the bracket off. I don't think you should have to unhook it from the driver's side.

I don't know your level of expertise so I gotta ask, You are not talking about the antenna cabel are you? :confused:

I wish it was the antenea, no its like a brake cable on a bike that controls the vents thanks for the suggestion
