1989 Firebird worth money?

Today at a show i found a 1989 Firebird 2.8 V6 5 speed. Ive talked the price down to $850. Paint has some chips on front piece, but rest is great, everything works and runs well.
Does this sound like an opening not likely to pass by again, because at the same time im putting money towards the 69 that im working on.
Thanks,
Will

depends on what you plan to do with it.

drive it? part it out? build it up?

if the body is straight and clean then I say yes, scoop it up.

if it's rusted and dented and there's nothing you can really use from it (maybe the interior is mint) then I'd pass. the 2.8 engines aren't reliable or valuable, and they're easy to replace.

I bought an '84 T/A a couple of years back and parted it out. I made over 750$ and this is including me keeping the rear axle the ground f/x the steering ,the brakes, the qtr panels. I also gave to friends the tranny, the seats, carb and wheels. It didn't have T-tops either . so these cars can be valuable in parts....
