E-Brake light

whats up guys...been a while since i had a problem out of my eclipse...but just the other day (wednesday i think) my E-Brake light comes on when i get on the brakes hard or corner hard and stays on for a few seconds then cuts off...sometimes it comes on and stays on...anybody ever had this problem? a friend of mine E-Brakes in his corolla alot (he's a dumbass) and he's having the same problem..i have also e-braked a few times...any ideas on whats wrong/how to fix it...thanks

I had the same thing happen to my old car (not a dsm) and it was because my brakes were bad (this was before i worked on my own cars so a mechanic told me this) i would check the brakes/brake fluid just to be sure, also check the e-brake cable.

check the brake fluid . that happend to me when i stopped hard it flashed on then turned off. i looked at my brake fluid i added a bit then tried stopping hard again it didnt come on. not sure if that was it.
