AC Issue

I have a 89 Honda Accord and the AC Compressor does not turn on. At first I thought it must need a recharged but then I realized the light on the "AC On" button quick working the same time the AC quit working. I checked the fuses under the hood and the fuse box under the dash and the are all fine so next I confirmed the AC switch was working and that was as well. Do you have any other suggestions????
