Ford ECU help F150

anyone know how I can find the collaboration code for my dads farm truck ECM? some dip sht worked on it and changed out the ECM with a reman and now it doesnt run. so im stuck without the right ECM and none of the dealers wanna help me. i was told by A1-cardon to get the vehicle manufacture number with the VIN but i havent found any luck. anyone have any pointers or know what i can do?

Collaboration code? Sorry I'm not a help but you definitely got my attention, I never heard of a collaboration code. What is a collaboration code if you don't mind me asking.

VIN is located on the drivers door frame and in the dash near bottom of windshield on drivers side. It is a 17 digit series of numbers and letters.
If you need the engine calibration numbers, they were on a sticker on the valve cover. I think on the drivers side ner the rear on lower side. If not on drivers side, try passenger side. It is about 6 or 7 number and letter combination.
