question engine swap or turbo

hey im new and this is my first post and I was wondering what would be better for my 200sx? I was lookin at nissan performance mag and they got 233 whp with turbo and other mods (too many too list) i have some of them already and im plannin too add some more of the mods they have. or should i just swap with the sr20det with 205 horsepower? I dont kno if I could realistically get what they did. They had a lot more resources then I would and had some prototype parts.So if i did this it would around 1 to 2 years so by then they might have those parts out ny then idk just lookin for some feedback to kno what would be best and leats expensive thanks

Well what condition is your engine in? If you can do the engine swap yourself, it would probably be cheaper to swap it out, but if you need to slowly piece it together, and your GA16 is in good shape, and you're not looking for 'amazing' speed, then stick with that. With a good turbo kit(read: pretty much the Hotshot kit is the only way to go with the GA) you can reach 180-200 WHP with the JWT cams and ECU, and in such a light car, that is pretty damn good.

my engine has 75,000 miles on it if that helps and im gettin a header and ecu pretty soon and if i dont go with a turbo or engine swap then i just might go the cheap way with anywhere from a 50 to 75 shot of nitrous
