Smoke when A/C

Hi Gurus,

I have 97 Honda accord. Today when I kept my A/C on I saw and smelled fumes coming from middle air duct. Any idea what could be wrong and what should I check and fix.

These were foggy and kid of whitish. The smell was not very strong, not sure if was a wire burning smell, a little acrid.

Sounds like your evaporator has a hole in it. One way to check it would to put some uv fluid into the ac system, then use a blacklight/uv light to see if its that, otherwise, it MIGHT be the heater core. But when that starts leaking, usually it makes you get high and dizzy, and gives you a bad hangover after you breathe it in for a while.
