glowing turbo

I was out driving and racing and uhm... I could sense something was wrong with the car, like..I unno what exactly but it was weird. So I got out and popped the hood. And when I did. I found that my turbo was glowing red hot! Is this normal when running the car hard? Is something wrong? Any answers would be helpful...thanks!

def. not normal. your turbo has an oil line hooked up to it to lubricate it but also keep it cool. there is something wrong with your shit dude.

Ummmm yeah turbo DEFINETLY not supposed to glow red! My first probe GT (an 88) actually did that, and theres a reason I don't have it anymore...I was stupid, shut the hood and walked into WalMart....when I walked out, there was the fire department surrounding my 1988 Ford FIREBALL!
