I found this cherry Avatar of an MR2 hitting some S curves, animated... But it was 65k... I managed to get it down within the limit, but it looks like shit!! Yes thats right folks! It looks like utter CRAP!
Oh well :( What if I link it off another page... Do I still have to be within the size limit? If not, can any one upload it somewere for me ? :D

Avatars are always stored locally.
If you keep it big and put it in your sig, you'll be a bandwidth hog. Not AF's bandwidth, but the forumusers' anyway, which will slow folks in general down.
