2001 pontic grand prix se service engine comes on and then when it goes to shift its jerks real hard and then its hard to keep it at 65 mph. any suggestion? last week my anti theft device had me locked out and had to go to the shop. any information on this would be helpful. would this problem have anything to do with o2 sensors?

The best thing to do is have it scanned for odb-ii DTC error codes and see whats causing the SES MIL light to turn on.

I have a suggestion....alot of people talk of a problem and SES light comes on....There are many places that will diagnose the codes for free....Auto Zone, Pep Boys..., and many local shops....If you had a repair or did a Mod and the light comes on its probobly better to have the code checked before you try to diagnose....Most of the time it will be related to the recent work....Also ask to be present while they diagnose and ask alot of questions.....if shop manager tells you insurance wont let you in the shop then ask if they can test outside....OBD has batteries....
