Recommended Oil for 2.2 Ecotec

The Canadian owners manual for my 2004 Cavalier recommends 5W30. However, it also notes: "If it is going to be 0 degrees F (-18C) or above and SAE 5W30 is not available, you may use SAE 10W30."
Coincidentally, if you use the oil selector tool on the Castrol USA website for a 2004 Cavalier (2.2 ecotec) it recommends 10W30 if the temp is -18 or greater but that is referring to -18F and not -18C. (I checked with Castrol.)
Therefore, out of curiosity, I would appreciate if somebody with a US owners manual for a 2003 -2005 Cavalier with 2.2 ecotec would tell me what it says in their manual.

I always use Havoline 10W-30 but I live in a warmer climate. Check out www.bobistheoilguy.com.

In the owners manual of my 2004 Cavalier it says that for areas of extreme cold where temperature is often below -20C use synthetic or use 0W30. I don't see much 0w30 here in the stores except for Canadian Tire's Formula 1 semi-synthetic which I'm told is Shell. I know that Petro Can makes a 0W30 synthetic but in this area I would have to get the Petro Can bulk distributor order it for me. (We've had -30C but normally for a couple of months each year the lows range from -12C to -18 or -20C with only a few days in the latter.)
