I know it isn't a DSM but I tried posting this question in the hyundai section...no answers...
For one.. this is my ma's car... I popped the hood and just about shit!! it looks almost exactly like a 4G63... it is also an 1800.. would that make it a 1.8? anyways... since it is almost identicle one of my questions is does anyone know if hyundai is part of mitsu and that's why the engine looks the same?
One of the first things that came out of my mouth is.. "wanna turbo it :naughty:?"
my ma and her husband laughed....
The problem they are having with it is after driving it a bit and they come to a stop (manual tranny) the idle goes up and down about2-300 rpms and does it for about 10 seconds to a few minutes... a few times it has died on them... What might be the cause? Or what can I check for them? My first thought was an idle speed sensor....

my guess is timing belt, that's what happened to my 92 eclipse,

could also just be a vaccum leak
