1.6 RR and Springs, Help or Hurt?

I want to put in 1.6 rr's and springs. I have a 94' formula with 149,000 miles stock engine. Is doing this going to help anything and if so what? Or, would it hurt the engine.

Also would anyone have instructions on how to do this, I've heard it is relatively easy but I would like detailed instructions if there are any. I appreciate all the help,

Wesley

Also, does anyone have an approx quote on the price of doing this?

Probably won't hurt anything.
Hell, if anything, the new springs would be a good thing.
LT1 right?
Not sure what those parts run on the LT1, but if you went with stock (or OEM) springs I wouldn't think they would be too expensive. $150 maybe
Roller rockers might be a little more.

Would it have any noticable power increase?

Probably nothing huge.

The higher ratio rockers would up your lift a little, giving you a little bit.

You would probably see about 10 - 15 horse from adding stronger springs and higher lift rockers. They are both fairly common mods but most wait to do a cam before doing this although the added valve lift from the rockers and tighter seal and seat from the springs is really a good mod. I would say if you grab a set of proform self aligning rockers and some GM or crane or comp springs your looking at about 250 -300 altogether.
