C4 Swap ?

I have a 95 T-Bird 4.6 that i have done some motor work two and put a full flwomaster eshaust system on, well any way i guess i started to put to much power through the DOAE 4R70W and blew out second gear takeing doen the strip at norwalk.... any way ive herd a few people say that the C4 should be a direct bolt up to my bellhouseing and mount rite in with out changeing much... i know i woud have to come up with a custom linkage kit but has anybody out there swaped for a c4 and if so how hard was it ?

why? c4 doesnt have od and gear ratios much lower check out PERFORMANCE AUTOMATIC in gaithersburg, md. they can tell you anything you need to know about ford trans. they sell hi hp 4r70w and all you need to swap if your hearts set on it BTW i dont think a modular pattern bellhousing and an old windsor type bellhousing would be the same

I'm with coondawg6 on this.
Even if were able to mate the C4 to your 4.6, you would still have to re-program your EEC.
The 4R70W automatic transmission can be built to handle 575 RWHP.
