We're getting a Ferrari F430 kit!

And it's not by Maisto  .

Revell Germany has announced a Ferrari F430 kit. While we're all wishing for Tamiya, this will suffice for now. Only the true haters reject kits as good as Revell's Enzo and 612 Scaglietti which are both really good models. Unless Tamiya is already tooling the F430, I suspect this model would keep them from doing it. We shall see.

Oh no… Another kit to be added to the growing pile of Ferrari kits I’ve got.. I love my Ferrari kits… I must stop buying these, but I’m about to order the 550 even though I shouldn’t (too many kits already), just won a Tamiya Ferrari Testarossa, and already have the F40, F50, 360 Modena X2, Ferrari 310B F1 and bidding on the 2001 Schumacher F1 at the moment as well.

Got my eye on a few others as well..!! Argh… I’m currently saving many of my Ferrari kits until I get good a building models, and then I can have a great collection of well built (I hope) Ferrari model cars.

You and me both.

Figured someone would do the F430 sooner or later- and of course Tamiya still may, too. This is one that hasn't yet captured my imagination. Haven't ever seen one. I couldn't really say I liked the 360 until recently seeing a Stradale in person- so, maybe the 430 will grow on me sometime after Tamiya has released the yellow and clear view versions....

If it's an all-new kit, it should be done to the level of the 612 Scaglietti. Revell AG doesn't do 1/25 scale. They know better.

F430 looks great in person. Much sharper looking than 360. only thing i'm not sold on is the back end...looks a little too busy and overdone.

I almost hate to say this.. :crying:

I looked on the site, and another "skill level 9" kit was the Z8.

This means curbside. This means it could be pretty lame.

This may mean the F430 is a rehash of the 360 Modena. I certainly hope not, it's an awful model in comparison to the newer Revell AG kits. Maybe they'll do the new body tooling in China. Maybe not.

I almost wish I hadn't done more searching :disappoin .

I didn't buy any "new" revell kit for a while. I know Revell Germany do 1/24. but something it's just a bit out of scale. I guess we will see sooner or later.

Once Again, Tamiya missed a great kit to do.. But I'm sure they will release a new Subaru WRC this fall :disappoin

don't worry about it.
it seems that they put skill level 9 for all unreleased kits.
one thing though, let's hope it is a brand new tool as i wasn't too impressed with their 360 mould/details.

do you think they'd have a PROPER wheel fitment method this time?

I was just going to point this out.

For example, before releasing the 944 kit (originally Hase), the site also said skill 9.

We all know it's not curbside.

I m quite happy for the new model, adds more choice to the bucket.

And to those who don't like it... You 're not obliged to buy it either eh!

Olivier

PS. Just imagining what it would be like, combined to the 360 tamiya kit...

Well, let's hope Revell has the good sense to make it full-detail from new tooling. Then we won't need an extra Tamiya 360 for parts  .

I wonder if the 612 Scag did better than they expected. Hence bringing about this kit.
We'll have to see when October rolls in.
Thanks for the news Bob!

The Revell AG site also has a 288 GTO (only the most beautiful car ever made!!) listed for October release. Is this a rebox of the Fujimi? New tool? I cannot wait to find out...
