As stated in an earlier post, I have a 1997 Z-28 that stalls. I have since changed the PCV and the air filter. I had a nice test drive but then the infamous MIL reared its ugly head and the car began to stall. My question: Could the gas cap have anything to do with this? Could somebody please explain how the gas cap could cause this problem?
Any help on this problem would be deeply appreciated.

hi, I CONVERTED MY 1980 V6 TO A TPI AND HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM. IF YOU OPEN THE CAP AND HEAR A VACCUM, THEN THE CAP IS FAULTY. IF THE CAP DOES NOT ALLOY AIR BACK INTO THE TANK. A VACCUM IS CREATED AND EVENTUALLY THE FUEL PUMP CAN'T GET ANY FUEL. HOPE THIS HELPS. 80TPI.
